I have recently bought a new befsx41 to replace an older version of befsx41 (which was working fine until it died few days ago). With a new one, running firmware 1.52.15, mirc seem to lose connection every 15-20 minutes or so. Happens same way on vista and xp, both machines are configured to have static 192.168.1.xx ip addresses, while linksys obtains ip address automatically from the dsl modem.
